HCG launches advanced cancer hospital in Hebbal with Karnataka’s first MR-Linac

Bengaluru: HealthCare Global Enterprises Limited (HCG), India’s largest dedicated cancer hospital network, has launched a new comprehensive cancer hospital in Byatarayanapura (Hebbal), strengthening access to advanced oncology care in North Bengaluru and across Karnataka.

The new 132-bed facility marks a major milestone in precision oncology with the introduction of Karnataka’s first Elekta Unity MR-Linac technology, one of the world’s most advanced radiation therapy platforms. The technology combines MRI imaging with a linear accelerator, enabling highly precise and adaptive cancer treatment while protecting surrounding healthy tissue.

The hospital was inaugurated by renowned Sandalwood actor and director Kichcha Sudeep, who said timely diagnosis and access to advanced treatment play a crucial role in improving cancer outcomes.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. B.S. Ajaikumar, Founder and Chairman of HCG, said the new Hebbal centre reinforces HCG’s commitment to making advanced, technology-driven cancer care more accessible while improving long-term patient outcomes through personalised multidisciplinary treatment.

The hospital is also equipped with Accuray TomoTherapy with Radixact, an 80-slice Digital PET-CT scanner, five robotic-assisted modular operation theatres, 19 chemotherapy daycare beds, 14 premium treatment bays and a 15-bed ICU and HDU.

The facility additionally offers advanced diagnostic and clinical services including endoscopy, bronchoscopy, mammography, histopathology and blood storage.

Dr. Manish Mattoo, Executive Director and CEO of HCG, said HCG Hebbal brings together multidisciplinary expertise, advanced technology and patient-centric care, further strengthening HCG’s legacy of “adding life to years.”

According to Manisha Kumar and Sachin S.E., the new facility has been designed as a comprehensive cancer management hub that combines clinical excellence, personalised treatment and patient comfort in a healing environment.

Spread across 1,75,086 sq.ft., the hospital also features patient-focused amenities including an international lounge, cafeteria and valet parking.
