Düsseldorf (Germany): A delegation led by Minister for Medical Education, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, and Livelihood Dr. Sharanaprakash R. Patil is on an official five-day visit to Germany.

On day one, the delegation toured key regions of Germany, including North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) and Düsseldorf, holding meetings on skill development, skill exchange and employment opportunities with authorities.

The delegation accompanied by Government Toolroom and Training Centre (GTTC) Managing Director YK Dinesh Kumar and senior officials met at Schneider Electric in Düsseldorf.

Discussions focused on establishing a German-standard nursing apprenticeship programme and crafting a structured skill-migration pathway between Karnataka and NRW.

Officials also explored integrating GTTC’s technical curriculum with German training standards and providing hands-on, pre-departure training to Karnataka’s youth.
