Bengaluru: Kannada film ‘JC: The University’ is all set to release in theatres on February 6, 2026.

The abbreviation in the title stands for ‘Judicial Custody’, while the film itself is a mass action-drama that explores the power struggles and transformation within a prison environment, often referred to as a ‘university’, for criminals.

​Directed by Chethan Jayram and produced by Daali Dhananjaya under Daali Pictures, it stars Surya Prakhyath and Bhavana Reddy, with veteran actors Rangayana Raghu and ‘Thriller’ Manju in pivotal roles.
