BEML hits the jackpot in CIS region, gets export orders worth $6.23 million for mining equipment

Bengaluru: In a major boost to its global expansion plans, Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), a Navaratna under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has secured two prestigious export orders with a combined value of USD 6.23 million from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region, including Uzbekistan.

This marks another milestone in BEML’s strategic journey to expand its global footprint in mining and defence equipment exports.

The company has secured two distinct orders, including one from a CIS nation for the supply of 10 units of its heavy-duty bulldozers, specially engineered to perform in extreme cold climates with temperatures plunging as low as -50°C.

The second, maiden-order from Uzbekistan, includes the supply of one unit of the high-performance Motor Grader, essential for infrastructure development and road maintenance within mining operations.

With Uzbekistan becoming the seventy-third nation to be added to BEML’s global exports portfolio, this development reinforces the company’s expanding international reach and its credibility as a preferred partner for advanced, mission-critical equipment.

“This is a significant win for BEML and is a reflection of our growing global competitiveness,” Shantanu Roy, Chairman and Managing Director, BEML Ltd, said at a media briefing.

“Our entry into the Uzbekistan market and continued success in the CIS region reaffirms our strategic vision to become a leading player in the international mining and defence markets. We remain committed to delivering technology-driven, reliable, and rugged equipment to meet the evolving demands of global customers,” he added.

The latest order strengthens BEML’s presence in the resource-rich Russian and CIS mining markets, known for their complex terrain and high demand for durable and dependable heavy machinery.

BEML manufactures large and medium-sized Dump Trucks, Hydraulic Excavators, Dozers, Wheel Loaders, Motor Graders, Water Sprinklers, Pipe Layers, and Crushers — all engineered for performance, durability and fuel efficiency.

BEML also offers electric and hybrid variants aligned with sustainable mining goals.

These machines are widely used in mining, infrastructure, irrigation, road construction, and material handling projects, both domestically and globally.
