BEL, Metamind and Kristellar forge strategic alliance to drive future-ready defence technologies

Bengaluru: In a significant move to strengthen India’s indigenous defence and technology ecosystem, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Metamind Systems Private Limited and Kristellar Aerospace Private Limited have entered into a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Bengaluru.

The collaboration focuses on co-operation and co-development of next-generation products and technologies across critical domains such as cyber security, electronic warfare and avionics, semiconductors, and data centres, catering to both defence and non-defence sectors.

The partnership brings together a powerful blend of capabilities. BEL, a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking, will contribute its robust manufacturing strength and extensive market reach.

Metamind, known for its AI-driven data analytics and digital transformation solutions, will provide expertise in strategic government engagement, project governance and operational execution.

Kristellar, a rising player in aerospace and defence innovation, will drive advanced research and development along with systems engineering across mission-critical technologies.

Kristellar’s diverse portfolio spans CubeSat systems and mission delivery, aerospace propulsion, radar and RF technologies, electronic warfare and secure communications, as well as AI-powered cognitive defence systems.

This complements Metamind’s strong presence in sectors such as aerospace, defence, healthcare IT and IT-enabled services, creating a comprehensive ecosystem for innovation.

The MoU is designed to leverage the complementary strengths of all three organisations, enabling them to enhance competitiveness, reduce execution risks and deliver scalable, future-ready solutions.

The collaboration is expected to accelerate the development and manufacturing of advanced aerospace and defence systems, electronic modules and sub-systems, while also expanding into semiconductor production and data centre solutions.

Aligned with the Government of India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives, the alliance aims to boost indigenous capabilities, promote self-reliance and strengthen India’s position as a global hub for high-technology manufacturing.

The partnership will also focus on enhancing export potential by delivering integrated, globally competitive “Make in India” products and systems.

The MoU was formally exchanged between Manoj Jain, Hrishikesh Kinikar and Udaya Banu Das in the presence of senior leadership from all three organisations, marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration aimed at shaping the future of India’s defence and technology landscape.
