At meeting on Energy, all statutory forces pledge concerted efforts towards programmatic fulfillment

Bengaluru: Energy Minister K.J. George recently stated that along with policy and regulation, coordinated and organised efforts were essential for achieving an energy transition.

Delivering the valedictory address on the second day of the international conference titled Sustainable Energy, India Agenda 2047New Thinking on Law, Policy and Innovation for Energy Security, jointly organised by the Commonwealth Legal Education Association and the Energy Department, he said the shift from conventional to renewable energy sources must move beyond ambition and be implemented through structured action.

“This conference has provided a platform for meaningful discussions among the judiciary, policymakers, regulators and industry. The resolutions emerging from this conference will play a key role in shaping a sustainable energy future,” he said.

George said: “Karnataka will continue its leadership by expanding renewable energy, strengthening storage systems, and enhancing infrastructure. We will work collaboratively to support innovation in the renewable energy sector and achieve a sustainable future. Our government remains committed to providing affordable and quality electricity to all.”
