‘Akash-Tritiya’ moment for HAL, at Hyderabad showcase soon

Bengaluru: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) will showcase its growing civil portfolio at Wings India 2026, to be held at Begumpet Airport, Hyderabad, from January 28 to 31.

The centrepiece of HAL’s participation will be the H-228 commuter aircraft, the Dhruv New Generation (NG) helicopter, and the Super Jet (SJ) 100 regional aircraft, which will make its formal debut during the show.

Dr D K Sunil, CMD, HAL, said in a release: “HAL is steadily expanding its civil aviation footprint and the showcase of the Dhruv NG, H-228 and the SJ-100 trinity at Wings India reflects our focused thrust in strengthening regional connectivity, civil utility operations and future-ready aircraft programmes, while reinforcing India’s journey towards self-reliance in civil aviation.”

HAL will be present at Hall A, stall No 27 during the show. The pavilion will display scaled models of the Dhruv NG, H 228, H 228 Amphibian, SJ 100, LUH Civil, Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), and accessories designed to meet the evolving needs of civil operators.

A major attraction at the HAL stall will be the static display of Dhruv NG, H 228, SJ100 and SJ100 Aurus (business jet). HAL is collaborating with United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Russia, to manufacture the SJ 100 aircraft to strengthen Make in India capabilities.

The static display will be complemented by Customer Demonstration Flights of the Dhruv NG and H 228, showcasing the aircraft’s real-world performance, safety, and operational versatility.

Digital product kiosks will be set up to better understand aviation components, accessories, and MRO activities at the HAL stall. MoUs with various industry partners are planned to be signed during the show.

HAL’s presence at Wings India 2026 reaffirms its role as a trusted partner in the aviation value chain, supporting India’s UDAN Scheme for regional connectivity and ‘Make in India’ policy.
