‘Say Chess’: New tie-up seeks to marry the board and the boardroom. Here’s how….

Bengaluru: The American Gambits, one of the most dynamic and forward-thinking franchises in the Global Chess League, have announced FYERS — India’s technology-first brokerage and investment platform — as their Title Sponsor, in what is being seen as a groundbreaking partnership between two data-driven powerhouses.

The announcement was marked by the unveiling of the team’s new jersey at a press conference in Bengaluru, attended by Prachura PP, co-owner of American Gambits, Tejas Khoday, CEO and co-founder of FYERS, and Lucky Saini, Senior Vice-President and Marketing Head, FYERS.

This three-year partnership aims to propel the American Gambits’ evolution both on and off the board, aligning FYERS’ focus on analytics and precision with the franchise’s mission to modernize and popularize chess as a sport of intellect and strategy.

“FYERS embodies the same spirit that drives the American Gambits — strategic thinking, precision, and bold decision-making under pressure,” said Prachura PP.

“Our partnership is more than a sponsorship; it’s a shared vision to make chess a data-driven, aspirational sport that mirrors India’s growing influence on the global chess map,” he added.

For FYERS, the collaboration marks a seamless extension of its technology ethos beyond capital markets. “Chess mirrors the mindset required in trading — thinking several moves ahead, assessing risk, and staying calm under pressure,” said Tejas Khoday, co-founder & CEO of FYERS. “Every move on the chessboard, much like every market decision, balances logic with intuition. This partnership celebrates that shared discipline and the pursuit of intelligent decision-making.”

Lucky Saini added, “We see this as more than a branding exercise; it’s a meeting of two worlds that thrive on focus, timing, and calculated risk-taking. Through this partnership, we aim to inspire people to think strategically — on the board and in the markets.”

The announcement drew special applause from R. Ashwin, former India cricketer and co-owner of American Gambits, who welcomed FYERS onboard. “Chess has always been close to my heart, and we are elated to have FYERS join us as partners in creating a robust ecosystem for the sport,” Ashwin said. “Their passion for strategy and innovation perfectly complements our vision.”

The collaboration signals a bold step for both chess and corporate India — blending the intellectual rigour of chess with the analytical mindset of financial markets. With FYERS’ backing, the American Gambits are poised to redefine what it means to play, think, and win in the age of data and strategy.

The Global Chess League 2025 returns for its third season in Mumbai from December 13 to 24, promising high-intensity matches and a grand finale that could see the American Gambits make history — now with FYERS powering their next move.
