Refinery gifts motorised scooters worth Rs 21 lakh to persons with disabilities in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), in association with the District Disability Department, Government of Karnataka, distributed motorised three-wheeler scooters worth Rs 21 lakh to 19 persons with disabilities in Dakshina Kannada district recently.

The handing over was held during the inauguration of Praja Soudha in the presence of several dignitaries.

The initiative aims to empower beneficiaries by enhancing their mobility and enabling greater self-reliance in everyday activities.

The recipients, most of who were from villages surrounding MRPL, have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the company for this noble cause and the positive impact the vehicles will have on their quality of life.

Shyamprasad Kamath, Managing Director, MRPL, Krishna Hegde, Group General Manager (HR), Manoj Kumar A, Chief General Manager (Administration) and Maneesh Nayak, District Disability Officer, were present on the occasion.
