Bengaluru: Craftizen Foundation recently conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) programme for trainers from various organizations through which it on-boarded 101 NGOs across the country.
A total of 30 trainers from 15 NGOs across Karnataka participated in this three-day programme, which covered eco-friendly and upcycled crafts such as silicone mould flowers, wax tablets, incense sticks, MDF and flow-dust rakhis, torans, paper crafts, popcorn and fabric tassels, paper flowers, and Akash kandils.
Special sessions were also included on cost management, packaging, product display, quality assurance, and market linkage.
The main objective is to provide employment opportunities under the livelihoods programme for persons with intellectual disabilities.
The event concluded with a certificate distribution and a celebratory function.
Dr. HS Aditya, CEO, RFS Foundation, participated as chief guest and appreciated Craftizen Foundation’s efforts in promoting green skills and eco-friendly livelihoods.
Mayura Balasubramanyam, CEO of Craftizen Foundation, reflected on the organization’s 10-year journey and acknowledged the support of Accenture India’s CSR programme.
This ToT programme is part of Craftizen’s Petalist Livelihood Programme, which will continue to provide ongoing technical support to participating NGOs in areas such as design, quality assurance, and market linkage.
