Oil doyen Sarthak Behuria honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award at Global Refining and Petrochemical Congress 2025

New Delhi: On 10 and 11 July 2025, the Global Refining and Petrochemical Congress (GRPC) 2025 was held, bringing together some of the most influential people in the oil, gas and petrochemicals sector.

The event saw innovators, industry magnates and policymakers coming together under one roof to explore the evolving downstream landscape and to discuss ways to transform the sector.

On the occasion, oil doyen and current Chairman of Reliance BP Mobility, Sarthak Behuria, was felicitated with a Lifetime Achievement Award, as part of the Downstream India Excellence Awards 2025.

Behuria, an alumnus of St Stephen’s College, Delhi, is renowned for decades of leadership and invaluable contribution to India’s downstream energy sector.

With a career spanning more than 50 years in crucial roles, including as Chairman of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Behuria has been instrumental in pioneering sectoral strategy with focus on technological integration.
