‘Mission Cardi-action’: Indian, Japanese firms unite to revolutionise remote heart care in country

Bengaluru: In an effort to address India’s mounting cardiac crisis, OMRON Healthcare has deepened its collaboration with AI-led cardiac care innovator Tricog Health to launch KeeboHealth, a transformative connected health platform designed to redefine how heart conditions are managed across the country.

With cardiovascular disease being the leading cause of death in India, the launch of KeeboHealth represents a pivotal moment. The platform integrates cutting-edge artificial intelligence, real-time data analytics, and home-based health monitoring to empower clinicians and patients alike — helping to detect early warning signs, optimize treatments, and prevent heart attacks and strokes.

Bridging homes and hospitals

KeeboHealth brings together OMRON’s range of connected devices — including ECG-enabled blood pressure monitors and smart weighing scales — with Tricog’s AI-powered cardiac analysis engine.

The result is a seamless remote monitoring system that connects patients at home directly to healthcare providers. Data is analyzed continuously, and any sign of deterioration triggers immediate alerts to medical teams, enabling timely interventions and reducing the need for emergency hospitalizations.

This innovative approach is at the heart of OMRON’s Going for Zero’ vision — a global mission to eliminate cardiovascular events through proactive, tech-enabled care.

A 40-year commitment to India

“For over four decades, we’ve worked to address India’s unique healthcare challenges,” said Ayumu Okada, President and CEO of OMRON Healthcare. “With KeeboHealth, we are building on that legacy by fusing our world-class health devices with Tricog’s AI expertise. This solution not only empowers patients to monitor their heart health from the comfort of their homes but also enhances the workflow and decision-making capacity of medical professionals. It’s a major leap forward in realizing our goal of zero heart attacks.”

Technology with a human heart

Echoing the sentiment, Dr Charit Bhograj, Founder and CEO of Tricog Health, emphasized the platform’s life-saving potential.

“KeeboHealth isn’t just about technology — it’s about hope. By continuously analyzing patient data and delivering targeted interventions even in remote areas, we’re making specialized care accessible to all. Together with OMRON, we’re turning prevention into the new standard of care.”

Global collaboration, local impact

Lauding the Indo-Japanese partnership, Hokuta Kaya, Deputy Consul-General of Japan in Bengaluru, said, “This initiative reflects the power of Japanese technology combined with Indian innovation. It has the potential to transform India’s healthcare landscape and serve as a model for global collaboration.”

Clinical evidence and scalable impact

A multinational clinical study involving Duke University, UT Southwestern (USA) and Manipal Hospital (India) has validated KeeboHealth’s impact. The findings are promising:

  • 45 percent improvement in patient exercise capacity and heart biomarkers
  • 44 percent increase in adherence to evidence-based therapies
  • Significant drop in hospital readmissions

These results highlight how early intervention, optimized medication, and continuous patient engagement — all central to KeeboHealth — can lead to dramatic improvements in cardiac outcomes.

Looking ahead

With a plan to scale KeeboHealth across India in 2025, OMRON and Tricog aim to bring this breakthrough solution to millions. In a country where heart disease claims nearly 3 million lives annually, the platform offers a scalable, affordable, and effective approach to save lives and ensure healthier futures.
