Karnataka’s small-scale industrialists meet electricity officials, air grievances

Bengaluru: M.G. Rajagopal, President, Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA), at an event in the city requested the government for continuous supply of quality power to facilitate better business in the state and to strengthen the power infrastructure including power lines, transmission equipment and the distribution system.

Addressing an interactive meeting at the KASSIA premises, P. Ravikumar, Chairman, Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) and Jawid Akhtar, Member, KERC, interacted with the KASSIA members and took note of the issues raised by them. They promised to resolve the issues within the purview of KERC regulations.

KASSIA also submitted a memorandum to the officials in which a few key issues such as request for coordination between Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) and electricity supply companies (Escoms) in supplying power, approval of plans, issues of Occupancy Certificates, installation of Smart Meters, and a few other issues.

Ramesh, Director, Technical, Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (Bescom) addressed the grievances of industrialists during the meeting.
