Bengaluru: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is set to reinforce India’s growing stature as a global aerospace and defence manufacturing powerhouse by participating in the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, one of the world’s most prestigious aviation exhibitions, to be held from July 20 to 24 at Farnborough Airfield in Hampshire, United Kingdom.
Led by Chairman and Managing Director Ravi K., the HAL delegation will spearhead India’s presence at the global event as the nodal agency for the India Pavilion, representing the country’s expanding aerospace and defence ecosystem alongside leading Indian defence organisations and industry partners.
During the five-day airshow, HAL will engage with international aircraft manufacturers, defence companies, suppliers, customers and government representatives through a series of high-level business meetings and strategic discussions aimed at expanding India’s footprint in the global aerospace market.
“HAL has consistently showcased India’s aerospace capabilities at the Farnborough International Airshow, creating long-term partnerships with global OEMs, suppliers and customers. This year’s participation reflects India’s technological expertise and our commitment to co-development and strategic collaboration. We are ready to contribute to addressing global supply chain challenges while advancing India’s defence export ambitions and strengthening the country’s position as a trusted defence manufacturing hub,” Ravi said.
A major focus of HAL’s participation will be strengthening collaborations with global aerospace leaders including GE Aerospace, Eaton Aerospace, Honeywell, Safran, Martin-Baker (UK) and MBDA.
The discussions are expected to cover aircraft systems, aero engines, avionics, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), advanced manufacturing and future technology partnerships.
Visitors to Hall 4, Stand No. 4947 at the India Pavilion will witness HAL’s latest indigenous aerospace programmes through scale models of the LCA Tejas, Prachand Light Combat Helicopter, Advanced Light Helicopter Rudra, Dhruv NG and the Light Utility Helicopter (LUH).
In a first for the company, HAL will also feature interactive kiosks and digital displays offering immersive 360-degree visualisations of its aircraft platforms, assemblies and advanced manufacturing capabilities.
HAL’s participation comes at a time when India is rapidly emerging as a preferred destination for aerospace manufacturing and defence exports under the country’s vision of self-reliance in defence production.
The company, with an annual revenue of USD 3.76 billion and a market capitalisation of nearly USD 31 billion, continues to play a pivotal role in positioning India as a reliable global partner for advanced aviation and defence programmes.
The Farnborough Airshow is expected to provide HAL with a strategic platform to attract new business opportunities, strengthen international partnerships and showcase India’s rapidly evolving aerospace capabilities to the global defence community.
