Decoding the ‘Srishti of Drishti’ — A satellite by Hyderabad firm ATL

Hyderabad: Ananth Technologies (ATL), one of India’s leading private sector space and defence electronics companies, recently announced the successful launch of the GalaxEye’s satellite Drishti, for which ATL carried out the complete Assembly, Integration and Testing (AIT).

The satellite was successfully placed in its designated orbit, marking a significant achievement for both ATL and India’s rapidly growing private space ecosystem.

ATL’s integrated satellite manufacturing campus in Bengaluru is equipped with cutting-edge infrastructure purpose-built for space applications.

ATL was entrusted with the complete AIT responsibility for the GalaxEye satellite Drishti — a complex, multi-disciplinary process that demands precision, expertise, and rigorous quality standards. ATL’s AIT contribution encompassed:

  • Mechanical Assembly
  • Electrical Integration
  • Functional Testing
  • Environmental Qualification
  • Launch Readiness Review

In addition to AIT, ATL designed and manufactured the solar panels for the Drishti entirely in-house. This achievement underlines ATL’s growing capability in space-grade power systems.

The solar panels were engineered to deliver optimal power efficiency across the satellite’s orbital lifetime, meeting stringent mass, size, and radiation-hardening requirements.

Several critical avionics modules aboard the GalaxEye satellite were fabricated at ATL’s state-of-the-art electronics manufacturing facility. These include high-reliability printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and avionics subsystems.

Integration and Test Infrastructure

Dedicated satellite integration stands, harnessing bays, functional test benches, and RF test equipment ensure systematic, traceable integration and test workflows aligned with international space quality management standards.

“The successful launch of the Drishti satellite is a proud moment for the entire ATL team. Delivering end-to-end AIT, manufacturing the solar panels in-house, and fabricating critical avionics modules demonstrates ATL’s comprehensive capabilities as a full-spectrum satellite systems integrator. We are committed to enabling India’s private space ambitions and look forward to partnering with more new-space companies on their journey to orbit, ”said Dr. Subba Rao Pavuluri, Chairman, Ananth Technologies Limited.
