BEL on a high: Profit After Tax rises 25 percent; order book at ₹74,859 crore

Bengaluru: Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has reported a robust performance for the first quarter of FY 2025-26, registering a 24.87 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth in Profit After Tax (PAT), which stood at ₹969.13 crore compared to ₹776.14 crore in the same quarter last year.

The company also posted a 24.28 percent rise in Profit Before Tax (PBT), reaching ₹1,289.24 crore in Q1 FY26 as against ₹1,037.34 crore in Q1 FY25.

Revenue from operations saw a steady growth of 5.19 percent, climbing to ₹4,416.83 crore from ₹4,198.77 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

BEL’s strong performance is backed by its expanding order book, which stood at an impressive ₹74,859 crore as on July 1, 2025.

The company continues to play a pivotal role in India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem, reaffirming its strategic importance and financial resilience amid evolving global and domestic demand.
