At Jodhpur Railway Station, the celebrations continued with Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Mayor Vanita Seth and several MPs and MLAs welcoming the new service that links the desert state directly with the Deccan.

Speaking on the occasion, Vaishnaw lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating that in a span of just 10 years, he had done what had remained undone for the past 70 years.

He added that in the years to come, the foundation of a developed India would become evident, as the vision of a new, prosperous India was steadily being realised.

These new services will not only save time for long-distance travelers, but also boost trade, commerce and tourism between these culturally rich regions.

Additionally, they will foster greater regional connectivity, promoting economic growth and enhancing cultural exchanges between Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan.

Starting May 5 and 6, the Hadapsar-Jodhpur Express will operate daily, stopping at key stations such as Ahmedabad, Surat, Abu Road and more.

The train will have a mix of AC and sleeper coaches.
