

Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Division of the South Western Railway (SWR) conducted a productive meeting with parcel and freight customers recently, aimed at addressing the challenges faced by parcel customers and leaseholders, and improving service quality, an official press release has said.
The meeting was chaired by S.P. Shastri, Principal Chief Commercial Manager, SWR, and Amitesh Kumar Sinha, Divisional Railway Manager, Bengaluru, who led discussions focused on resolving issues to facilitate smoother and more efficient operations in both parcel and freight services.
During the meeting, key issues and various solutions were discussed to enhance service delivery.
The discussions also highlighted the significant growth in parcel earnings, which, for the financial year to date, have reached ₹122.5 crore, an 11 percent increase compared to the previous year.
The meeting saw participation from several important parcel and freight customers such as RM Cargo, Care Cargo, Kayee Pee Transport, Chandrajith Singh, Sainath Cargo, and Balaji Harsh Transport.
These stakeholders, along with representatives from freight companies such as DP World, which deals with container traffic, TCOI, handling automobile traffic at BID and DBU, and CONCOR, managing container traffic, played an essential role in discussions that will ultimately help improve the services offered by South Western Railway, the release signed by Pranesh KN, Public Relations Officer, SWR, Bengaluru, said.
