Bengaluru: To accommodate the extra rush of passengers during the summer season, Central Railway has decided to operate Summer Special Express Trains on demand between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai, and Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal, Bengaluru, for 13 trips.

The details of the special train services are as follows:

  1. Train No. 01013/01014 CSMT Mumbai-SMVT Bengaluru-CSMT Mumbai Special Express: Train No. 01013 CSMT Mumbai – SMVT Bengaluru Special Express will depart from CSMT Mumbai at 00:30 on April 5, 12, 19, 26; May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31; and June 7, 14, 21, 28, 2025 (Saturdays) and will arrive at SMVT Bengaluru at 23:55 on the same day.
  2. Train No. 01014 SMVT Bengaluru – CSMT Mumbai Special Express will depart from SMVT Bengaluru at 04:40 on April 6, 13, 20, 27; May 4, 11, 18, 25; and June 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, 2025 (Sundays) and will arrive at CSMT Mumbai at 04:05 the next day.

En route, the train will halt at Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Satara, Karad, Sangli, Miraj, Kudachi, Raybag, Ghatprabha, Belagavi, Londa, Dharwad, SSS Hubballi, SMM Haveri, Ranibennur, Harihar, Davangere, Birur, Arsikere and Tumakuru stations in both directions.

The train will consist of 22 coaches, including: 1-AC Two Tier, 5-AC Three Tier, 10-Sleeper Class, 4-General Second Class and 2- SLRD Coaches.

For more details regarding reservations and arrival/departure timings, passengers may visit the official railway website or approach the nearest railway booking counters, a release signed by Dr. Manjunath Kanamadi, Chief Public Relations Officer, South Western Railway, Hubballi, has said.
