Bengaluru: South Western Railway celebrated International Women’s Day with great enthusiasm at Chalukya Institute, Gadag Road, Hubballi recently.

The event was graced by General Manager Mukul Saran Mathur, who was the Chief Guest.

As part of the celebrations, cultural programmes were organized where women employees showcased their talents in dance and singing.

Various competitions and games were also held exclusively for women employees at Chalukya Railway Institute, Gadag Road, Hubballi.

The competitions included a rangoli contest, flower decoration, dinner table decoration, slow vehicle race, musical chairs, musical ball passing, spoon and lemon balancing race, throw ball, and badminton.

Winners of these games and competitions were felicitated by the GM during the event.

Principal Chief Personnel Officer R Aaivu, senior officers of South Western Railway, and women staff from the headquarters participated in the celebrations, making the occasion memorable and lively, a release signed by Dr. Manjunath Kanamadi, Chief Public Relations Officer, South Western Railway, Hubballi, said.
