
Bengaluru: Škoda Auto India reinforced its long-term commitment to the Indian market with the inauguration of new customer touchpoints in Bengaluru, even as the company celebrates 25 years of operations in India and reports one of its strongest growth phases in recent years.
The latest additions in Bengaluru, developed in partnership with Karr Motor Ventures Pvt. Ltd., include new touchpoints on JP Nagar, Magadi Road and Bannerghatta Road — part of Škoda’s ongoing network expansion to 320 touchpoints across 180 cities nationwide.
Addressing the media, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, connected the Bengaluru expansion with the company’s nationwide performance and future vision saying: “This inauguration in Bengaluru is part of a much wider transformation. We are celebrating 25 successful years in India, and 2025 has been one of our strongest years ever. Our sales have grown significantly compared to 2024, and Škoda now ranks seventh in market share in the country. We have expanded to 180 cities with 320 touchpoints, and October and November have been particularly outstanding months for us. With new partners like Karr Motor Ventures, we are strengthening our reach across key markets while building momentum toward 2026.”
Gupta also highlighted upcoming infrastructure readiness: The company has inaugurated a road and a workshop on Maranda Road, while a new facility on Karakoro Road is expected to be operational in the next two months.
Škoda’s strong sales performance this year is backed by an aggressive product pipeline and extended festive season offers. Škoda has already launched two new models in India in 2025: Kaylac (February) and the all-new Kodiaq (May).
Additionally, the Octavia RS, the highest-performance variant in the Octavia lineup, sold out within 20 minutes of its India launch last month.
Gupta confirmed that 2026 will see new product actions, including product refreshes of the Kushaq and Slavia, a potential second batch of Octavia RS, and other new models to be announced in due course.
EV Strategy
Škoda is also evaluating the introduction of its global EV portfolio in India.
“Škoda is already a global leader in electric mobility, with models like the Elroq, Europe’s largest-selling EV in its segment,” Gupta said.
“We have a complete EV lineup globally, and our India EV strategy is being shaped in three phases. While we are not making any announcements today, we areclosely studying the right entry point for India, and there will definitely be more to share soon,” he added.
While Bengaluru received three new touchpoints recently, the company emphasized that these facilities are one part of a broader growth framework, supported by rising demand, a refreshed product line and strategic EV readiness.
