Hubballi: South Western Railway (SWR) recently saw the inauguration of a cutting-edge PRORAD 3NC Digital Radiography (DR) system and a newly renovated Medical Examination Room at its central hospital in Hubballi. 

Inaugurated by General Manager Mukul Saran Mathur, the new infrastructure marks a significant milestone in the advancing diagnostic imaging services of the railway zone, thus reinforcing its commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate and efficient patient care. 

This PRORAD 3NC Digital Radiography (DR) system is the first-of-its-kind in Hubli-Dharwad city and North Karnataka, and was procured for Rs. 99,60,00.

It features advanced flat panel detector technology for high-resolution imaging with rapid image acquisition, enabling faster diagnoses and improved patient throughput, while its wireless DR detector enhances flexibility and streamlining workflows, boosting operational efficiency in favour of superior diagnostic accuracy.

K.S. Jain, Additional General Manager of South Western Railway, Dr. G.S. Ramachandra, Principal Chief Medical Director SWR, and Bela Meena, Divisional Railway Manager, Hubballi, were present on the occasion.
