Hubballi: Mukul Saran Mathur, General Manager of the South Western Railway recently conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Belagavi Railway Station to assess progress of ongoing infrastructure works.

During the visit, he reviewed the station premises, including the station yard, and inspected various infrastructure upgrade works currently under way.

A key part of the inspection included a motor trolley of the railway section, during which he assessed track conditions and points at the yard, verified safe working practices, and reviewed operational protocols.

Mathur also inspected the passenger amenities at the station, including the newly constructing Footbridge (FOB) and other facilities aimed at enhancing passenger comfort and ease of movement.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness at the station and personally inspected the functionality of the UTS scanner, ensuring its proper operation for seamless ticketing services.

The General Manager appreciated the efforts of the railway officials and staff for their dedication and directed them to expedite all infrastructure works, without compromising on safety and quality.

He was accompanied by senior officials from Hubballi division of SWR during the inspection.
